Leadership today is no longer a top-down approach — agree/disagree?
My take: work environments have changed drastically and leadership development has transformed in response.

Now, being a better leader comes down to 4 key competencies, in no particular order:
1. Emotional intelligence — you understand the importance of positive work environments, strong relationships, self-awareness, and empathy.
2. Strategic thinking — you help your team think about immediate and long-term needs, challenges that haven’t arisen yet, and untapped opportunities.
3. Adaptability and resilience — you understand that change is the only constant, and your ability to adapt depends on how well you know your North Star.
4. Ability to coach — you get that being a leader is more than a manager. Your mentorship can help your team grow into coaches and mentors in their own right.
Conclusion
There’s a lot that goes into enhancing a leadership skill set, but these competencies will take any leader from good to great.
What would you add to the list?
